High Def

Ok, here's the deal I normally don't promote commercialism/materialism, but High Def is really cool!!  Tonight I finally watched Avatar; and I deliberately waited so long to watch it.  I didn't want to go to the lousy theater in P.A.(Don't get me started on that), and I was originally going to get it on HD Pay-per view, but when that didn't work out, we rented the Blu-ray.  Over the last few months, I have wondered why I am going to Galaxy Cinemas in PA?  People are rude and annoying there, the theaters themselves are falling apart, the picture quality is lousy, and the food is over-priced.  Now at home the picture is amazing, I watch with who I want, on my couch, and wearing what I want.  The picture quality is amazing and with the right set-up, better than most theater experiences.  The only set-back is waiting, but that's really an ego issue.  For me, I am fine with other people seeing a movie before me.  I am fine with TV shows making jokes and conversation that I have no clue about because I didn't see the movie.  Now I know there are amazing experiences for movie-goers like IMAX, and 3D, but I live in Birch Hills; the nearest city is Prince Albert, and it ain't cool.  The nice thing about waiting is I find out from others if a movie sucks or if it's offensive, and I wisely spend my money on movies worthwhile.  Before I would be choosey in what I spent my money and freetime on, which was not always plentiful for both, and now I think it is a better investment to use my equipment at home for what I bought it for.  My only regret is that I don't have a large living room that I could invite some of you over to watch as well.

Must Hear Sermon

I watched this video/sermon and it slammed me super hard!!  I loved it because it's alot of the same stuff I believe; I have preached it more subtly at times.  But I hate watching it because it totally slams me and makes me realize I need to live it more.  I need to practice what I preach.  It was the theme at biblestudy last night as well:  The book of James says in essence, "You want to have assurance of salvation, well look at your life, and if you don't see it, then do some soul searching and ask God to make your heart right. Hope you can watch this video and examine your own heart. Check it out: Full Fire Video

It's back

I am going to resurrect this sucker, and I won't lie, I'm going to use it for longer tweets on twitter.
