Reason for the Season, Reason to Live.

This time of year is always a reflective time of the past year, and anticipation to the next. It would be very easy to look back at this year and be down-right depressed: I was forced to resign from my dream job, I'm unemployed, my cars keep breaking down, the ups and downs of relationships, the usual struggles with attitudes on life or self-confidence, and the struggles of trying to live a God-centered life in a self-centered world. Honestly, there are some days that are down-right hard to face, and I wouldn't except for God. That is why Christmas is so special to me; the gift of Christ has made life worth living, no matter whatever happens to me. God can overcome any problem in the world, and He can overlook any weakness in my own life and have fellowship with a sinner like me. I hope you have the joy of Christ in your life everyday, and that joy overflows this holiday season.

I need prayer..

Folks,I know not many of you check this blog, epecially when I haven't updated it in awhile, but I need your prayers. Our car had the heater fan conk out on it this morning; something you really need in the Canadian winters. And because it's an Acura it's not a simple switch under the hood, but you need to take apart the whole dash to get to it, so we're talking about a lot of labor to fix it; hundreds of dollars that I don't have. So I need a miracle this Christmas, because we need a car.

Shake them Jowels

Have you ever shaken your face wildly and felt your cheeks and lips shake about; kind of like a dog when it's all wet. And then while you are doing that you thought you should get a person to take a picture so they can catch your face in distortment. Oh, the hilarity that would follow that would be priceless. Someone spent sometime thinking about this and has created a website chalked full with hilarious pictures of dopes, like the one you see on the side, shaking their faces wildly for the camera. Check it out at:

What's New?

Well, recently I have felt like a gimp. I was already feeling down from a throat infection which has me sounding like a chain smoker, but now I have sprained my foot. I hadn't sprained a foot since my famous ligament rip at university which put me on crutches for several weeks and made me out-of-shape and fat. It's annoying being of crutches; people are shocked and ask you, "What did you do?!" Like you planned it, or was doing something stupid that got you in this predictament. I was playing basketball with my Sr. boys, and as I told the other coach, "better it was me, than one of them." The gross thing about my foot, besides its apperance, is that when I shake it I can feel all the excess fluid from the swelling slooshing around; I almost want to pop it.

So, I've been laying around the last few days, trying to let it heal. Bored out of my mind. I've been Christmas baking and that's been fun. That's right, I've been baking. I've made some pretty good stuff and my goal is to make my friends fat, so I feel better about myself. So maybe if I give you baking, I think you're too thin, or I'm trying to spread Christmas cheer.
Speaking of which is it just me or are we all jumping the gun with the whole Christmas thing this year. Many people have their lights up, including me, and I'm noticing more trees in windows. Crazy!

I was looking at other blogs this morning and came across two cool ones:

The Ironic Sans and Blue Sky Studios
Both interesting. The ironic one seems to be about New York related stuff and entertainment; find the Mr. T dress up thing, and Blue Sky has amazing art.

Hope life has been interesting for you as well.
